The LRC would like to wish everyone a happy Chinese New Year. We are beginning the year of the Dragon and as such we have pooled together the books we have featuring dragons into a display.
November 2023 | Pizza Luncheon
As a reward for their great efforts with the Premiers' Reading Challenge, 9D got a pizza luncheon prepared by our Canteen lady Huong Ong. Congrats on a well deserved prize 9D!
November 2023 | PRC Winners
It's official, 9D are the winners of this years Premiers' Reading Challenge. 9D was expertly led by Lucy Dallimore and English teacher Deb Stringer. 9D will be rewarded with book vouchers and a pizza luncheon.

Lots of new books on display as we head into Spring. Shout out to former Mac.Rob student Lili Wilkinson with her new fantasy book A Hunger of Thorns.
July 2023 | JSTOR Research Database
The LRC is pleased to announce we have subscribed to JSTOR research database. JSTOR offers a wide range of scholarly content in the form of journal articles, books, images and primary sources. This will help all Mac.Rob students with their research assignments - and is of particular use to the IB Extended Essay students. Access JSTOR via the Databases page.

Here are our wonderful Year 9 PRC Captains for 2023. PRC Captains lead their class in the Premiers' Reading Challenge inter-form competition. May 2023 | IDAHOBIT Day
IDAHOBIT Day is the International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia, Transphobia. Mac.Rob will be celebrating it this Thursday and we have put together a display of great LGBTIQ+ library books to mark this special occasion.
March 2023 | Year 9 LRC Inductions
In March, the LRC team ran an induction session for all year 9 students, getting them up to speed on borrowing, using the library's databases and library programs.
March 2023 | International Women's Day
It was International Women's Day in Week 6 and to celebrate we put together a display of books surrounding themes of female empowerment, feminism and gender equality. Thank you to our Duke of Ed volunteer who helped out.
February 2023 - New Checkpoints
The new Cambridge Checkpoints are now available to borrow. Get some help with your exam revision with one of our most popular study guides.
February 2022 - New Library
Construction has finished and our brand new library is finally open to students. The new library is fitted out with a range of new collaborative study spaces, as well as new shelving and a more open plan design. The "university feel" has been noted by many students and overall the renovation has been warmly received.
